In working with families, I use a systemic and relational approach to identify the dynamics at play that are affecting not only the individuals in the family, but also the family as a greater system. We will identify any roles that have emerged within the family unit to understand how certain patterns serve to reinforce or challenge those roles. The goal is to create an awareness of how each member contributes to the functioning of the greater system and to work together to find ways to interact more cohesively and effectively.
